Daily Walking Tour Sibiu — Discover the Old Town in 1.5 Hours

Is this your first time in Sibiu? Are you fascinated by everything around you and curious to discover the events that shaped this 900-year-old medieval city?

We invite you to enjoy a charming walking tour Sibiu, accompanied by our certified bilingual guides (English & German) who master the art of storytelling.

Our Daily Walking Tour will take you on a 1.5-hour guided tour of the Old Town, with its medieval squares, many churches and special charm — covering all main attractions: the Grand Square, the Small Square, Huet Square and Fortifications Street. Our guide will share the hidden stories behind famous landmarks such as the Liar’s Bridge and the Eyes of Sibiu’s rooftops.

What you'll see

Four squares, a bridge that won't tolerate liars, and a city that quietly watches you back.

  1. Huet Square & the Evangelical Cathedral

The oldest corner of the city, dominated by the Gothic Evangelical Cathedral. This was the heart of the medieval Saxon community that founded Hermannstadt — as Sibiu was known back then.

  2. The Bridge of Lies

Romania's first cast-iron bridge — and, according to local legend, the one that collapses if you tell a lie while crossing it. Your guide will tell you the real story.

  3. Small Square & the Eyes of Sibiu

One of the most beautiful medieval squares in Transylvania. Look up — sleepy, eye-shaped attic windows peer down at you from the rooftops, watching everyone who passes through.

  4. The Grand Square

The heart of Sibiu for 700 years. Merchants, nobles and emperors all gathered here. Baroque on one side, Renaissance on the other — the social and cultural centre of the city.

  5. Schiller Square

A quiet little square lined with Baroque and Classicist houses, named after the great German poet Friedrich Schiller. A corner of the city that still holds on to the atmosphere of old Sibiu.

  6. Cetății Street & the City Walls

A walk along the old defensive walls. Three medieval towers are still standing — remnants of one of the best-preserved urban fortifications in Transylvania.
